Michelle J Straker

Michelle J Straker is a Trinidad-based multidisciplinary visual artist working across painting, textile art and experimental material processes. Her practice is rooted in material exploration, intuitive discovery and a lifelong relationship with colour, cloth, form and image.

Her work moves between painting and textile-based practice, with an emphasis on process, transformation and the gradual emergence of imagery through making.
